Three more sleeps til we get down in Sydney. Looks like it’ll be a blissful 28 degrees. Sounds sweet! Dress appropriately: wear closed-toe shoes; wear sunscreen. Bring your wallet (there are limited ATMs on site); and be a legend to your fellow festival mates. And have the best time. We can’t wait.

GETTING THERE

There is no parking at the venue so please leave your cars at home. Free shuttle buses are running after the festival from Balmain Road to Central Station to help get you home. For timetables, maps and trip planning go to transportnsw.info, download the the Transport Info App or call 131 500.

UBER

Our awesome friends at UBER are also coming down for the ride.

UBER is a smartphone app that you can use to book taxis and hire cars to pick you up. The process is super simple and your ride arrives in a matter of minutes. Here's what ya do: 

  1. Download the UBER app on an iPhone or Android device, and create an account. Enter the promo code 'lanewaysydney' when prompted.
  2. Open the app and 'REQUEST BLACK' when you need a car. Check the ETAs just before, we're an on-demand service, so book as needed.
  3. Watch the car come to you on the app, let them know where you need to go and enjoy the ride!

The code lanewaysydney will give $20 off a first ride per person to get either to or from the venue in Sydney.

TICKETS

No ID, No entry.

Don't forget to bring your tickets! Each ticket admits 1 person. Please make sure you all have a ticket ready for scanning when approaching entry.

If you plan to have your PDF ticket scanned off your mobile or with Passbook (moshtix), make sure you have enough battery on your phone. 

Only buy tickets from a trusted friend - Avoid ebay, gumtree etc. Unfortunately, there are dodgy people out there and we will not be able to help anyone other than the purchaser if there are any issues.

YOUR CULTURE GUIDE

Sydney punters are in for a real treat. Acclaimed dance company De Quincey Co are presenting INNER GARDEN, a site-specific performance installation on the hour, every hour until 8PM. 2Cubed is an outdoor exhibition of sculpture, painting, performance and installation works by 10 recent graduates of the University of Sydney’s Sydney College of the Arts. Food comes from our friends at Longrain and cult gelateria MessinaPlanet of Sound will present the vinyl fair, and Finders Keepers curate the markets.  Sweet!

SYDNEY WINE BAR

Rosemount Estate’s Mobile McLaren Vale Wine Bar is being dropped into Laneway Festival this Sunday giving festival goers a relaxed space to enjoy wines under the eaves of this converted shipping container. On offer will be Rosemount’s awarded range of wines served up by bar manager Mikey, for the first time music lovers can enjoy wines on the grassy surrounds and relax between sets.

AFTER THE SHOW THERE'S THE AFTER PARTY

As previously announced, Future Classic will be curating the official Sydney Laneway Festival After Party. Catch DJ sets from Haim, CHVRCHES, Taco and Jono Ma (Jagwar Ma), with more acts to be announced.
